Forest Centre and ExTe back at Brisbane, bigger and better
Claimed as the largest trucking exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show was held during May 14th-17th. Forest Centre exhibited ExTe products for the second time, showcasing even more transport products than previously to the steady stream of visitors totalling some 34,000 over the four day event.
We had visitors ranging from long-standing clients in log haulage, right through to truck body and trailer manufacturers, fleet owners and owner-drivers.
There was great interest in the new TU auto-tensioner and its wider variety of mounting and lashing possibilities. Visitors also had the opportunity to use the auto-tensioner as part of live demonstrations with air supply and attachment closely resembling a typical truck set up.

At 5 years old, possible future trucker Jack can easily tighten straps to 600+kg and release them with the turn of a lever and a little guidance from Roslyn, whilst his father and 3 year old brother Harry watch to see how it’s done.
The increased flexibility of the TU model attracted attention from those hauling everything from timber packs and poles, steel and aluminium, hay bales and even special cargo like bee hives. Some visitors even mentioned that the auto-tensioner was the best thing they had seen during the whole show!
Those already familiar with the Luftman tensioner were particularly impressed with the TU model’s new construction and easy ratchet release function.
